My Dad.. My Pillar of life..

Where has my Soul lost its way…
Through the think and the thin, glorious life was spent being one.
Nothing was too less than enough, each day was better than before
Being a kid was always fun, sheltered by Dad for his Son
Love was invisibly the force which glue us all, with hopes of being together forever
So why do I feel that love has lost its way
Why does today not seem like that day, when his hugs would calm my fears
Standing alone on a deserted road, with hopes to conquer life… all seemed like yesterday
His confidence and Strength was always the path which lit my way
Never did I feel that life was a struggle, all seemed so near and so free
So why does my heart bleed today, Why do I feel so alone, where have those hands and those hugs gone
Where is the pillar of my life.

Little things make lasting impact….

Riding a Bicycle!
I remember those days, when I was in my 9th Grade and I had developed this interest in Athletics - Maybe because my friends were interested too. But whatever the reason, I did have fun going to the practice sessions early in the morning at the town lake, the stadium or at the school grounds.
I remember the times when my dad had bought a bicycle for his daily commute to work. I am taking about year 1986/87/88. This was the first thing he bought for himself to ease his travel home. He used to ride me on his bicycle daily in the morning wee hours for my practice. He used to drop me and then go to work.
It was a 5 Km ride from home.
At those times I was all too busy with my friends but deep down in my heart, I realized what he gave to me. I realized it later on the love and dedication he showered to us. He showed the commitment.
He did not teach me that but he demonstrated it in his personality. This built the foundation of my life forever. This stayed with me!
